OUR MISSION…

Artistic Education Company, presents a wide range of music projects and educational arts program agendas that entertain, enrich, and educate a diverse population of the Central Texas region. We enhance the economic vitality across the artistic landscape of Austin, Texas.

The company emerged in 2006 as an Austin Independent School District-Wide Strategic Arts Partner with the AISD Fine Arts and Learning Department and Diocese of Austin to increase access to high quality performing and fine arts education. As a AISD creative and fine arts learning partner and district wide vendor we work closely with Austin Creative Alliance to reduce cost barriers associated with an affordable arts education for a complete education for every child. We offer performing arts and music workshops to reduce cost barriers to underserved school communities we serve under the AISD umbrella and to offer need based scholarships for a labor intensive performing and music outreach program, PACE Unplugged. The fees associated with paying our teachers what they deserve by matching their hourly wage for a labor intensive outreach program, while at the same time serving underserved school communities to students who are passionate about learning to play an instrument, dance, or sing in one of our PACE Unplugged workshops. The outreach program is offered throughout the school year and summer months at the Austin ISD campuses we serve across the Austin, Texas region. serving Austin ISD schools and Diocese of Austin parish schools.

The Austin Independent School District is the heart of public education in Austin, Texas—a city of ideas and innovation that tops the nation's rankings of the best communities in which to work and live. Austin ISD educates approximately 84,000 students and embraces 130 diverse school communities in one of the fastest-growing, ever-changing metroplexes in the country.

Our Cause…

To increase access to high quality performing and fine arts education by INCENTIViZING providers to engage in local efforts by building community partnerships with central texas school districts experiencing cost barriers and by reducing cost barriers to aisd schools without existing performing arts, music, and art education programs.

this is our very beginning…

An acronym for Performing Arts Creative Enrichment services in collaboration with other individual clients working alongside Artistic Education Company’s innovative outreach efforts. We focus our efforts on advancing the performing arts with youth at an early age at various Austin ISD Schools offered after school, during the school day, or as workshops or camps (summer, spring break, winter, or special events). Our program is supported by the Creative Learning Initiative (CLI) grant, which in turn help us target evidence based learning happening on these integrated project agendas across Austin ISD Schools through our production team to include a video/audio technician, photographer, and education specialist to assist teachers on their project from start to finish. Please refer to our Podcast Season 1, Episode 2 for a detailed description of this process and what we do in this capacity.

Our motto is that every child feels, “successful when we are building self esteem, self expression, and a strong creative foundation for kids to become future innovators.”

But we knew this wasn't enough...

We wanted to show Austin residents who our professional jazz musicians are and show youth that it's possible to have an arts career, but we knew we needed to support Austin Artists and Musicians. So we curated the Austin Jazz Glitz & Glam Live Music Concert, in support of our company’s vision, mission, and cause. Our sister company, Music Blend Studio, networks with recording production companies, record labels, the cinematographers, and marketing campaign sponsors in support of our cause.

Our Austin based concert performers are involved in our outreach efforts. We put on an affordable yet immaculate live performance for our PACE Unplugged participants [ over 1600 clients including parents, grandparents, guardians from our school districts registered] as well as Austin residents. Our concerts gather a unique cultural landscape by displaying multidisciplinary performances to showcase various musicians, dancers, visual artists. The birth of our multidisciplinary concert series, the Austin Glitz & Glam Concerts, formerly Beyond the Music Project Arts Austin, curated to promote local working musicians and dancers in support of our company’s efforts to advance the performing arts with youth at an early age as essential, important, and relevant to a complete education. The concerts work to promote our company’s cause and mission. We offer various arts workshops, summer camps, and services as an extension outreach agenda working closely with Austin ISD Schools with our Creative Learning Initiative (CLI) grant award to impact the greater Austin region with innovative solutions for music teachers on faculty at various school sites under the AISD umbrella. Our team works as a liaison to promote production and development in a collaborative effort to make their school wide music productions happen with their students directly on campus.
